Located in North Eastern Saskatchewan, Canada, this parcel of land could be considered 8 acres of paradise. Taxes are low at approximately $600.00 Canadian currency a year, and highway frontage (Saskatchewan Highway Number 35) ensures that your access to Archerwill (population 250, stores, hotel, post office, autobody shop, service station, credit union, and many more services) is never blocked in the winter.
The land location of the acreage is Part NE 1/4 14-40-14 W2 and is geographically 1 kilometre west of Archerwill. Other nearby locations include the Town of Tisdale and the City of Melfort. Good fishing and hunting surround the area, as well as nearby marshland that attracts 1000's of waterfowl every year.
The yard itself is foundationally landscaped, with prepared garden plots, and includes a garden shed. And the dugout, aerated with wind power, is stocked with trout.
This lovely country home features 6 bedrooms (3 upstairs, 2 downstairs, 1 on the main floor) and
one and a half bathrooms. The home was moved onto a new basement in 1993 (the basement itself is partially finished) and a 28x30 foot (2 car) garage was built. The outside of the home is
log siding and stucco, electrical and plumbing completely up to code. Natural Gas. All new flooring (with the exception of one bedroom) both upstairs and down.
Stucco will be completed by possession date.
Asking price: $69,000 Canadian

My
partner and I had an opportunity to do a bit of
travelling within Saskatchewan last weekend,
specifically into the southwest part of our province.
We have never spent any amount of time exploring
that area of Saskatchewan and so when we found ourselves
in that corner, we decided to extend our weekend by a
couple of days and see what sights we could find.
It
was a wonderful and surprising weekend!

A warmer prairie climate will bring
with it a host of new insect plagues, along with a
migration of such lovely diseases as elephantiasis and
dengue fever, which normally could not survive our
climate. Farmers may have a longer growing season on
average, but how will that help if there is no extra
moisture to take advantage of it? Rather, production
will be an increasing challenge with hotter, longer
summers. |

When we got to the park, Cathy and
Freckles went one direction to see the house that
General Custer once lived in, and Doreen and I visited
the
Mandan
village. Five out of about seventy five of the
earth-covered domes that made up the village had been
reconstructed and we were amazed at what wonderful
buildings they were. |

He doesn't miss too many notes, but thing
is, they aren't usually the RIGHT ones. To say the blend
of voices is eclectic may be the politest thing that one
can come up with. Usually at 5:30 am there is at least
one human shouting out the window to SHUSH UP. |
