You know Family Farmers delivers a fantastic read to your computer - but did you know we do web design and hosting too?

There's no doubt about it.  The face of the world is changing and business, big or small, has to change with it.  One of the easiest and most economical ways to bring in new customers is with a web site.  It's like having a salesman working for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

So where do you start?

If you have questions, you are not alone.  At any time we invite you to call us (306-323-2137) or email us.  Whether you decide to use Family Farmers or not, we will answer your questions honestly and simply.  Deciding on a web site provider should not be a quick decision.  Make sure you ask questions, and know what you are agreeing to.  Most companies will require you to sign a contract (Family Farmers does not).  Don't sign until you are satisfied!

A rose by any other name....

Your domain name is one of the most important aspects of your website.  Like a sign outside your door, it conveys its own image.  You may have the best website in cyberspace, but if you don't have a domain name, or you use a domain name that is complicated to type, who's going to see it?

Family Farmers will do name searches for free.  No matter how many names you would like to research.  Currently our fee for registering a domain name is $30.00 plus GST (for .com names - other extensions may vary).

Websites, email and forms?  Oh my!

Just like an employee, you don't want to have to baby sit your website.  It should work for you, not the other way around.  Family Farmers provides not only design and hosting, but maintenance as well, rolled into one neat monthly bill (or yearly if that suits your budget better).  There are no hidden costs, no extra surprises.

We provide you with unlimited email accounts, free technical support, consultation about computer systems and office networks, virus advice, in-house search engine submission, just about anything you can think of!

And unlike other companies, we don't jack the price up when you expand.  If you decide six months down the road you want an online form... not a problem, and not an increase.  Very rarely do we EVER increase a price - in fact, it's usually the opposite!

Our service is second to none.  If you want an update to your website, simply email, phone or fax us, and it's done - usually the same day it's given to us!  And if you have an important deadline to meet, it's a simple phone call to reserve a staff member for a day - even weekends!

We want your business, and we will bend over backwards to get it.  That's a promise.

Here's what some of our clients have to say...

Ken & Karla contacted us when they first started Family Farmers.  We were their first clients, and have enjoyed and appreciated the great working arrangement ever since.  They did an excellent job on developing our web site and we have had many positive comments on how easy it is to use.  We would recommend Family Farmers to anyone.

We have been part of the Family Farmers community for a little over 5 years. Over that time we have grown to appreciate the service and support that we receive from them. We have found out just how powerful internet advertising is. I honestly think that our business would not be a full service company if it wasn’t for our outstanding web site. It has been a pleasure dealing with www.familyfarmers.com , and we fully recommend anyone who may be looking for internet advertising to give them a call.

Ken's Korner

Family Farmers wants to extend our most sincere congratulations to Paul Beingessner, who was recently awarded an honorary life membership by the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.  He joins a pretty select group of people who have contributed greatly to the agriculture scene here in Saskatchewan.  Check out their website for a full list of those who have been honored over the years.  Again, congratulations Paul, it is a well deserved award.

Although it may seem as if the prairie branch line rail network has been completely skeletonized by the major railways, the job is not yet truly complete. CP still has 911 kilometres of track on its Three-Year Plan for abandonment in the prairie provinces, and CN has 613 kilometres. Nor does this rule out further abandonments by the major carriers. At least one major railway has stated that there are still too many grain elevator points and by extension, too many rail lines.

Greenwater Report

Little MoJo, a Yorkie/Havanese cross, is the herd sire among the non-purebreds. Once the pups are born he hasn’t got the slightest interest in them, in fact avoids them completely. However, the ankle-biters’ mother, Tripod (or Sweetie as she is supposed to be called – she has only three legs) was retired as soon as the pups were weaned, and she was given to a good home. As soon as she left, MoJo took over the care of the little guys, playing with them constantly and, occasionally, disciplining them. What a change!

Qu'Appelle Calling

He doesn't miss too many notes, but thing is, they aren't usually the RIGHT ones. To say the blend of voices is eclectic may be the politest thing that one can come up with. Usually at 5:30 am there is at least one human shouting out the window to SHUSH UP.
